Asphalt Shingle Roof Cleaning

Asphalt shingles are the most common roofing in our area, and shade, humidity and tree cover give algae and moss plenty to grow on. The dark streaks and green buildup make a good roof look years older than it is, and moss can hold moisture against the shingles.

High pressure is the wrong tool for shingles, because it can strip the protective granules and shorten the life of the roof. We soft wash instead: low pressure with a cleaning solution that breaks down the growth at the source, then a gentle rinse. The roof is renewed without being damaged.

   We check the shingles, the slope and the shaded areas before choosing how to clean.

2. Soft wash

   Low pressure and a cleaning solution break down algae and moss without stripping the shingles.

3. Rinse and renew

   We rinse the roof thoroughly and leave it looking renewed.
