IPE and teak are dense, oil-rich hardwoods chosen because they last. Left alone outdoors, they weather to a silver gray, and without the right care they can crack and split over time.
These woods do not all respond to the same treatment. Some are best finished with an oil, others with a sealer, which is why our system is matched to each wood rather than applied the same way every time.
What we renew
- Exotic hardwood decking
- Outdoor furniture in teak and other hardwoods
- Fencing and other exterior hardwood
- Wood that has grayed, dried out or started to crack or split
Our system
Deep cleaning
We remove dirt, mildew and weathered surface buildup.
Brightening
We renew the wood's natural color and prepare it for finishing.
Oil or seal
Some woods need oiling and some need sealing. We choose based on the wood in front of us.
Common questions
Does IPE or teak need oil or sealer?
It depends on the wood. Some respond best to oil and some to sealer, so we choose per wood instead of using one product on everything.
Can gray IPE or teak be brought back?
Often, yes. Graying is usually surface weathering, and cleaning and brightening can renew much of the original color. Deep damage is a different matter, and we will tell you what we see.
