Epoxy and Decorative Flake Flooring

Epoxy floor systems, including full flake and metallic finishes, for garages, workshops, basements, kitchens and commercial spaces.

An epoxy floor is a coating system that bonds to concrete. Built for durability against chemicals, moisture and heavy foot or vehicle traffic, it gives a garage, shop or basement a finished look that is easy to keep clean.

In a full flake system, decorative flakes are broadcast across the floor to full coverage. They add color, texture and grip, and they hide the small imperfections that show up on plain concrete.

Where it fits

  • Garages
  • Workshops and shops
  • Basements
  • Kitchens and interior concrete slabs
  • Commercial spaces

How a flake floor goes in

  1. Prepare the concrete

Epoxy is only as good as the surface under it, so the slab is prepared before anything is applied.

  2. Base coat

The epoxy base coat bonds the system to the concrete.

  3. Broadcast the flakes

Flakes are scattered across the wet coat to full coverage.

  4. Topcoat

A clear topcoat seals in the flakes and protects the finish.

The condition of the slab, including moisture and existing coatings, affects how a system is designed, so we assess it first. If you would rather keep the look of bare concrete, see concrete polishing.

Common questions

What is a full flake floor?

A floor where decorative flakes are broadcast across the epoxy base coat to full coverage, then sealed under a clear topcoat. It adds color, texture and grip.

Can epoxy go over old concrete?

Usually, after proper preparation. How the slab is prepared depends on its condition, including cracks, moisture and any coatings already on it.

What finishes are available?

Decorative flake, solid-color and metallic epoxy finishes. We will help you choose based on how the space is used and the look you want.

Can you do a kitchen floor?

Yes, where the kitchen floor is a concrete slab. Epoxy and polished concrete both work indoors, and we check the slab and talk through the finish with you before we start.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. We offer warranties of up to 5 years, depending on the system. Coverage includes product failure such as peeling and discoloration, and workmanship, including installation.
